Program Support and Oversight
The NIMH Repository and Genomics Resource is supported by award 75N95025C0007 from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) for the Scientific Management and Support to the National Institute of Mental Health Repository and Genomic Resource.
The objective of the NRGR is to develop, sustain, enhance, and enrich a centralized national biorepository for collection, storage, manipulation, and distribution of biospecimens and data resources from genetic studies of psychiatric disorders.
Leadership
Dr. Nahid Turan, the Principal Investigator, and Jose Santana, the Project Lead, work closely with Contracting Officer’s Representative Dr. Jamie Driscoll and the Scientific Lead Dr. Amanda Price to achieve the mission of the NIMH Repository and Genomics Resource.
Steering Committee
The work of the Repository is further guided by scientists not affiliated with the Repository who serve on the Genomics Steering Committee, which provides operational advice and feedback on ongoing research designs, progress, and priorities, as well as strategic advice on new initiatives, enhancements, and alignment with the broader scientific community's needs of resources necessary for the genetic analysis of mental disorders.
